My colleague Eitan Reich and I have spent recent months thinking about systems working in health and social care. In particular, we have explored how crisis situations – such as the arrival of the Covid 19 pandemic – have a tendency to cause formal structures to wobble, whilst allowing systemic practice to come to the fore.
This paper summarises our thinking to date – and provides a foundation for further conversations – and invites colleagues in health and social care organisations and systems to come alongside us in order to test out and develop this perspective in practice.
